Abstract
The article explores contemporary pedagogical strategies in higher education designed to address the varied needs and expectations of diverse student populations. The authors highlight the significance of acknowledging individual differences among students – such as their cultural, social, and educational backgrounds – especially within the evolving context of globalization and digital transformation in education. A critical assessment is made of traditional teaching methods, which often fail to accommodate student diversity. In response, the authors advocate for more adaptable and inclusive approaches grounded in differentiation and personalization. The study examines active learning methodologies such as project-based learning, problem-based learning, and cooperative learning, emphasizing their role in fostering student engagement and developing critical thinking skills. A central focus of the article is the integration of digital technologies into the educational process. The authors discuss various technological tools that facilitate personalized learning experiences for different groups of students, including those with disabilities, international learners, and individuals with diverse learning preferences. Furthermore, the article underscores the necessity of cultivating a supportive and inclusive learning environment in which every student feels valued and empowered to achieve their potential. The teacher’s role is redefined – not merely as a transmitter of knowledge but as a facilitator who nurtures independent learning and critical thinking capabilities.
